Within hours of Richard Leonard being declared the new leader of the Labour Party Scottish Branch, there were a few issues, regarding his leadership techniques:

Keiza's at it again - the moral haze

Kezia Dugdale made a spectacle of herself again at First Minister’s Questions earlier today. Using time intended for holding the Scottish Government to account over its devolved responsibilities, Dugdale once more decided instead to ignore her duty to the people of Scotland and attack the FM over a matter which is entirely outwith the Scottish Government’s control, namely the past actions of a Westminster MP.

Pressure is mounting on Ed Miliband after Alex Salmond blames him for "forcing the resignation" of a Scottish Labour leader.

Scotland's First Minister Alex Salmond has accused Ed Miliband of being responsible for the "meltdown" of the Scottish Labour Party after the resignation of its leader Johann Lamont.

Mr Salmond said: "It is clear that the fundamental nature of Labour's leadership crisis in Scotland is caused by Ed Miliband and his coterie at Westminster. Labour's meltdown in Scotland has been created by Labour in London.

Pressure has increased on the Labour Party after a national newspaper revealed that its UK leadership actively prevented the Scottish party from criticising the Bedroom Tax for a full year.

According to the Guardian newspaper, Ed Miliband barred Johann Lamont from speaking out against the Bedroom Tax while he pondered what Labour's policy on it should be.

The newspaper said a source close to Ms Lamont told a reporter: "They told Lamont not to condemn it (the Bedroom Tax) for a year while Ed made up his mind."

The revelation will pile pressure on Ed Miliband's party which is still reeling from the shock resignation of its leader in Scotland. Claims that Ed Miliband issued a 'gagging order' preventing Scottish MSPs and MPs from speaking out has been seized on by Labour's opponents, with the SNP branding the revelation 'astonishing'.

Labour in Scotland is dying. Does anybody care?

Preoccupied with their Westminster careers, the party’s newly ennobled grandees are busy condemning it to the twilight zone.
